Who created it?

FreePDB was created by Brian Scott.

Brian has been messing around with computers since the 1970's. Much of that time has been spent in trying to get them to go faster, cheaper, more reliably or just do more useful stuff. In more recent times, Brian has become a tertiary educator, passing on his hard-won experience to the next generation of system administrators.

In the corporate sector, useful tools were not too hard to get hold of. But in the education and small business sectors, it can be very difficult to acquire expensive tools. Brian has put together some tools to meet this need.

Brian is a long time member of CMG Australia. He presented a paper on his work with FreePDB at CMGA2004.

He lives in the beautiful Kiewa Valley of North Eastern Victoria, Australia.
